The short version

  • This website collects very little: what you type into the contact form or send us by email, and analytics only if you choose "Accept all" on the cookie banner. It has no accounts.
  • No analytics in Europe. If your browser's time zone is in Europe, the site runs no analytics and shows no cookie banner.
  • No selling. We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising.
  • Your rights. You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to a regulator.

Who we are

Meronym AI is a trading name of CodingCrafts LLC, a California limited liability company, 2261 Market St Ste 86310, San Francisco, CA 94114 ("Meronym", "we", "us"). For personal data collected through meronym.ai, we are the controller: we decide why and how it is used. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@meronym.ai.

This policy covers this website. When we build or run an AI system for a business, our agreement with that business governs the personal data the system uses, and the business's own privacy notice explains how that data is used.

Who we share personal data with

We share personal data only with providers who help us run this site and our business, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

  • Hosting: Vercel Inc., which serves this website and records the technical data above.
  • Email: the provider that hosts our email, which carries the messages you send us.
  • Form delivery: Resend, which sends what you enter in the contact form to our inbox.
  • Team messaging: Slack, from Slack Technologies, LLC, which posts a copy of each contact form message to our team's workspace.
  • Analytics, only if you choose "Accept all": Google Analytics, from Google LLC, with Google signals switched off and no link to Google's advertising products.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, when we need them.

We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer if our business is sold, who would then be bound by this policy.

We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it for "cross-context behavioral advertising", as the California Consumer Privacy Act defines those terms.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and some of our providers process data there. When personal data from the EU, the EEA or the UK goes to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension where the recipient is certified, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses with the UK's addendum.

We delete or anonymise personal data when we no longer need it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you and for a copy of it in a portable format, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, and withdraw your consent to analytics at any time without affecting earlier use. We answer within one month, or tell you why we need longer, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. You can act through an authorised agent; we will ask the agent for proof of your permission.

To ask, email info@meronym.ai with "Privacy request" in the subject line. To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request. If you are unhappy with our answer, tell us so we can put it right; you can also complain to the data protection authority or the consumer protection regulator where you live.

Security

This site is served only over an encrypted connection, and access to the messages you send us is limited to the people who need them. No system is completely secure, so if a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16, or in the US from children under 13, whose data the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act protects. If you think a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we say so on the site before it applies, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
